Bringing Awareness to Women’s Health

Why I got into Womens Health

My journey into women’s health began unexpectedly while I was training at IMG Academy for soccer and running. During that time, I became what felt like a medical mystery. I was in and out of hospitals, yet no one could clearly explain what was happening to me.

Frustrated and searching for answers, I started researching my symptoms on my own. What I quickly realized was how difficult it is to find clear, reliable, and organized information without jumping from one website to another. That experience opened my eyes to a much bigger issue: access to understandable health information, especially in women’s health.

As I continued researching, I came across pelvic floor health. I was surprised by how little accessible information there was, even though the studies and medical publications showed how important it is not just later in life, but beginning at a young age. That’s when I started asking myself: Is there something you can do as a teen to support your health long-term?

Exercise kept appearing as one of the most powerful protective factors for pelvic floor health. That discovery sparked a deeper interest. In my free time, I began researching pelvic floor health more seriously and speaking with specialists, including OB-GYNs and primary care physicians, to better understand the science and long-term impact.

In the summer of 2025, I decided to organize everything I had learned into one place- this website. To my surprise, when I searched for a domain, pelvicfloorhealth.org was available. Without hesitation, I secured it and got to work.

This website is a collection of what I’ve learned so far- but it’s only the beginning. I plan to continue expanding my research into more specific areas and strengthening the connection between athletes and pelvic floor health.

Thank you for being here and following along. This is just the start of my journey in women’s health and I’m excited to keep learning and sharing!
